Cross-lagged regression study on daily stress, mental health, and psychological burden among young adults during the COVID-19 pandemic

During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, young adults have experienced many maladaptive symptoms that consequently affected their mental health. Most studies examined risk factors of health while ignoring protective factors. This longitudinal study aims to investigate whether daily stress, depression, anxiety and positive a predictive effect on psychological burden COVID-19. We conducted three follow-up surveys in 2014 (T1), 2015 (T2), 2020 (T3) understand stress COVID-19 adults. Data were assessed (T1) (T2) using anxiety, scale (DASS-21), (PMH), brief stressor screening (BDSS), (T3), where we incorporated evaluate its status A total 556 participated surveys. Cross-lagged analysis indicated (1) at T1 significantly predicted DASS PMH T2, T2 T3, but could not predict T3; (2) which T3. Individuals with low can still maintain during pandemic.
